Dance Tights

Both the Princesses are in dance classes, and they have been for years. The hardest thing is that they go through tights all the time! Every time I look, one or the other has a big run running down their legs or a gigantic hole. They don't seem to mind, but I certainly do!

I've been getting the cheaper tights at a local department store. I imagine that's part of my problem, right there. In looking for dance tights, I'm thinking of getting a brand name pair of tights and see how they hold up. Capezio is a name that is easily associated with dance. I may get the Princesses a pair of Capezio tights. Hopefully, they'll hold up better and they're not really that much more expensive than the ones I've been buying.

I'm so happy to see that they carry toe shoes too. Oldest Princess keeps growing and now she'll need another new pair of toe shoes and pads. They carry the same brand she has, so I know they'll work. I'll just have to get a bigger size.

Oh, I need to tell my sister that JustforKix.com also has cheer tights, shoes and accessories. My niece is really into the competitive cheering and could definitely use some new tights, etc.

Webkinz

My buddy Cyndi got me the Princess' hooked on Webkinz so I perused Ebay and found a good deal on the pink pony for Youngest Princess. The seller also had the white terrier dog, and I didn't want Oldest Princess to feel left out, so I got it as well. Glad I did. They came in the mail today and both Princesses (& mom) are having a ball with them tonight.

Friends & Family

We had a fabulous time at the coast yesterday with Kim and family. She fixed us a great lunch and then we went swimming.

Early this morning about 1:30, I got woken up by what every mother dreads hearing...."Mommy, I feel like I'm going to throw up!" UGH! And in my half-asleep stupor, I now remember trying to talk her out of it. LOL Poor little Princess did get sick a couple times, but now seems to be doing great. Phew!

Sleeping Beauty

Youngest Princess fell asleep on the couch tonight at about 7:30. She's been squirming around a bit, so she's getting uncomfortable. I guess I should carry her to the bathroom and get her to bed. She's been so tired lately with swimming lessons and all, plus I think she's hitting a growth spurt.

She had to come to my office today and then come with me to run some errands for work. She was a perfect little princess and we had a good time. I love days like that!

Heartland's "I Loved Her First"

I heard this on the radio today and burst into tears. It's the perfect Daddy/daughter wedding dance song. I told Craig that's what he's going to have to dance to at the Princess' weddings!

My Princesses are Spoiled

Holy Hannah! My girls are spoiled rotten! We've had a little income setback so we're watching every penny. One of my princesses keeps hounding me to go shopping and to get the new Hannah Montana CD. When I say "do you have the money?" I get the huffy pouty girl.

Ok, rant over. ;)

Smart Girl!

We got Oldest Princess' report card in the mail yesterday. She pulled off straight A's.....again! We're so proud of her! But of course, being the sarcastic parents that we are, we told her we'd talk about her report card when we got in the house and acted like we were less than pleased. Of course, she was on to us. Guess we wouldn't make it in Hollywood, eh?

Time Flies

Wow! I can't believe I haven't posted since last Wednesday and I totally spaced off this Wordless Wednesday! Time flies when you're having fun, eh? I've actually been able to pick up a few more shifts for job #2 recently, which is good for the checkbook. I miss the time off though.

I'm crazy....I'm allowing Oldest Princess to have a sleepover tomorrow night to celebrate the end of the school year. It was going to be 3 friends, but one can't make it so now it's just OP and 2 others.

I've also decided to make part of this blog to deal with my weight loss. Yes, I'm trying again to lose weight. I keep just putting on a bit here and there. I now have almost 100 pounds to lose to be at my goal. That number just seems to be astronomical, so I'll need to take it one step at a time. Cause after all, "If It Were Only That Easy", I'd already be at my goal just by wishing it so, right?

Smart Girl!

I forgot to post that earlier this week we got Oldest Princess's progress report. Straight A's again. Silly thing was insistent that we go to teacher conferences to find out if there's anything she needs to work on. Her dad and I assured her that if there was, she wouldn't have straight A's. We're so proud of her!

Funny Girl

My Youngest Princess cracks me up! We were driving with my dad today and Youngest puts her sweater over her head and says, "I'm Mary!". She then said, "Poppa, you're Joseph! Daddy, you're Baby Jesus. KayKay (Oldest Princess), you can be the donkey." I lost it right then and there. I was rolling!

Then Craig asked her, "What does Mommy get to be?" She said, "Nothing." But she soon changed her mind and said I get to be the angel. Very fitting, I would say. ;)
